Here's a story that hits the spot, at least judging by the play it's getting all over the web today. Sophisticated computerized comparisons of the the size of the bread relative to Jesus's head in 52 paintings of the Last Supper produced over the last 1000 years show it to be ever expanding. Supersizing is not new!
But, hold on. Even if this study (published in the reputable International Journal of Obesity) were to represent some truth about food quantities over the last 1000 years, what relevance does it have to our recent obesity epidemic that has only taken off in the last 50 years?
