The end of a goat's tit

I spent Wednesday at Polymeadow's dairy goat farm, which we've written about before.  It wasn't nearly enough time, or as much as I usually spend there, but it was still a good reminder that academia is but a small slice of the world.

My sister, Jennifer, with one of her 2 day old twins.

Her handsome Angora, Markie.  He's getting a little long in the tooth.  Or horn.  But he's still a sweetie.

Melvin, my brother-in-law, just in from milking. This is such a great picture.

As Melvin said today, "Our whole living comes from the end of a goat's tit." He could well have added, "And all the work that comes with it." But he's a Vermonter.
